SoulJam

SoulJam is a jam-session collective and event organizer, made up of musicians centered around communication and community. Beginning in the summer of 2021, the collective hosted jams open to all, with the aim of creating musical connection. At the core of SoulJam is a Houseband, made up of musicians from around the world performing music that is fully improvised in the funk, hip-hop, soul and house directions, but a pillar of SoulJam is to give a platform to diverse artists both in our local Berlin scene, and from around the world.

Transdisciplinary artist Laiz was born in the city of Jundiaí in the state of São Paulo in 1999 and relocated to Germany in 2019, where she made her mark on the Berlin jazz scene by blending Latin, jazz, and Afrobeat with Brazilian hip-hop.
